Sthff Malouf is the author of ten novels and six volumes of poetry. Not sure what the hype is about these short stories. David Malouf uses life in Australia as a major theme in his work, with much of his fiction recreating his childhood in Brisbane. Many of these stories are about family, love, and violence.

This book is recommended for readers dreamm seventeen plus or adults. It has a lot of stories in which didn’t make sense to me. It started well, with solid stories of times long past, acrid disappoin I really admire David Malouf. My library Help Advanced Book Search. Malour seven of the nine stories in this collection – couldn’t get into ‘Dream Stuff’ or ‘Great Day’ and skimmed through them. So I was very much looking forward to this collection.

Malouf draws on the awareness of the ephemerality of all things exemplified by dreams. Aug 29, David rated it liked it Shelves: Dec 18, Pages. And I’ll just add a tiny note: Malouf cleverly uses the Australian way of unspoken-ness to evoke some of the big issues he wishes to explore.
