Despite my little issue, this short story, which was first posted in The Saturday Evening Post inis a classic! I laughed the entire time I watched it because Bernice was such a sad little person.

There is no question F. She doesn’t understand why she doesn’t fit in with Marjories friends, and the need to see her rise above Marjorie’s scathing review of her sucks us into the story.

Well as the story continues, Bernice is turning into a drag on her popular cousin until the cousin decides to teach her about how to meet boys and be more popular.

Scott writes “the flapper” and the snobbish rich well. May 16, Debbie rated it it was amazing. As good as expected, did not think it would deal with anything like this, I had more social justice female stuff because of bobbing the hair etc, but the ending was great, well deserved, and I hope Bernice learns to love her hair.

Fitzgerlad used to tell Hemingway that he would cha If you love beautiful sentences, then you should read this book. Fitzgerad next morning, Bernice threatens to leave town, but when Marjorie is unfazed, Bernice relents and agrees to let Marjorie turn her into a society girl.
