My only disappointment was in the length and cost. This is the first book I’ve read by this author.
Grandmother makes an unexpected offer to make Marianne her heir, to the tune of 40,0 Wdenbrooke is a sweet, unabashedly romantic story set in Regency England. Donaldson’s writing is enchanting–the language both modern and yet perfect for the time period, a Regency novel that is comfortable, not stuffy.
She is easily swayed by her friendships and worldly pursuits, I just think there is a lot of potential there to see her grow and mature. I picked it up to read just a few pages before getting out of bed but didn’t quit reading until I finished the book.

The heroine is very relatable for me. The characters, Marianne and Philip’s relationship, reminds me a lot of Mr. I had to find out. Julia Boyer Reinstein Library.
Book review: ‘Edenbrooke’ is a delightful, clean Regency love story
Not one that’s supposedly hailed as being so authentic. Philip is the ideal hero, it’s no surprise that so many people have added him to their “book boyfriend” list.
I need that man in my life.
And as for the hero – I want to marry him! However, Marianne, who recognizes her lack of experience in flirting and must try to be a lady to please her grandmother, begins to learn more what love is — and isn’t — especially when it’s hiding in plain sight. Frankly, I hate Marianne, but all the other characters are similarly annoying.

It was well edited and charming, start to finish.

Edenbrooke (Edenbrooke, #1) by Julianne Donaldson
From a terrifying run-in with a highwayman to a seemingly harmless flirtation, Marianne finds herself embroiled in an unexpected adventure filled with enough romance eenbrooke intrigue to keep her mind racing. I can’t count how many times I’ve read it especially my favorite parts. I stayed up really late in order to finish the second half of the book. That’s a fair assessment based on time period only.
This book is special. Words cannot express how much I adore this book. If I weren’t already married if fall in love with him myself!!!! While I didn’t really like Cecily, there were a few times we see glimpses of a genuine person beneath her sometimes self-centered persona edenbbrooke I think it would be fun to see her get her own book. Cecily claimed the doll when they were 6, so, until the age of 17, she refused to pick up the doll?
