This book compiles a bunch of stories involving characters who are intimately or barely connected to each other. Truly a book of linked short danie, rather aderbs a “novel” as the back cover suggests, the brief and wonderful adverbw connections between stories provide an additional layer of resonance and, as in all story collections, some pieces are stronger than others; “soundly,” in particular, stood out to me as near-perfect.
